All 4,656 pipes that make up our new organ are now installed in the instrument. The Solo Vox Humana and Harmonic Trumpet were the last two stops to be put on their wind chests. Currently the organ builders are voicing the big 32′ reeds, the pedal 8′ and 4′ Trumpets and the Choir Reeds.

On Monday the special team restoring the historic 32′ Open Wood pipes in the gallery will return to put the six biggest pipes on their new supports and restored windchest. The last two photographs below are of the 1907 windchest restored.

There is light at the end of the tunnel, this month should witness the completion of the new organ.
