BRAVO AGAIN EVERYONE – There is still such great energy flowing from last week and Sunday’s concert!

The Concert was recorded and beautiful photographs were made by our own Micaela Macagnone. As soon as I can they will be posted on the Media and Home Page of the Choir Family Secure Area of the website for you to download along with a pdf of the program booklet. The log in information is at the bottom of this news letter.

Dr Rose posted this on Facebook! This is very special – be proud!

“Congratulations to everyone who took part. an afternoon to remember, with some lovely singing in a musically varied programme. And what an excitement to see no less than 28 novice choristers receiving their surplices. ? an all-time record for any choir?”

I’m really looking forward to this Sunday morning when all our new and old juniors take to the choir stalls to lead the 11 a.m. service. See the schedule below for details.

Families with Senior Choristers not going on the GCS Ski trip: Your chorister is most welcome as a senior mentor to help us focus and organize on Sunday. It’s a great way to develop leadership skills.

Yesterday would have been the 128 Birthday of A. Rubenstein, the great pianist. Have a look with your chorister and see and hear one of the great musicians of the last century. His hands are so beautiful on the keyboard.

Old Juniors, the concert music is your Senior Chorister Audition repertoire. Soon we will start schedule those auditions with the hope to complete them all by Mother’s Day, our traditional day to elevate new Senior Choristers!

The Annual Concert Committee is hard at work preparing for the beautiful reception that follows that concert. That has traditionally been on of our three big fund raising events for the Choir Special Projects Fund.

SNOW and Winter Weather! watch the weather reports, take no chances with personal safety. We follow the schedule of GCS. Should they call a snow day or schedule change, we will follow that. As I know things I’ll post them and send out email.

The 4th Grade Play is scheduled for Tuesday 24 February at 6:00 p.m. The same time as our Evensong Service. All fourth graders at GCS will be excused from rehearsal and Evensong that night, for planning purposes, I need to know who will be able to participate in the rehearsal and Evensong that night. As soon as you can, please let me know – both 4th and 5th grade. Will sports be going on that evening for 5th grade?
