CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN and BRAVO CHOIRS on last week’s Concert!
Thank you everyone who under the leadership of Meaghan Cheung and Shannon Cave created the beautiful reception that followed! You raised $6,000.00 for the Choir Special Projects Fund from the Concert Reception.
SUMMER CONCERT TOUR NOTE:
I’m working on moving the Tour Rehearsal originally scheduled for 31 May 1:00 – 3:00 to another time due to Confirmation taking place that Sunday morning and family conflicts following the service.
This is looking like an almost impossible task, finding an alternate time that works for 30 people.
The one slot that seems to fit best is Saturday May 30th from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.
However, this is not confirmed. If you have not responded yet, please let me know if that can work for your family and chorister(s).
If anyone has any other creative ideas for solving this schedule issue I’m open, please don’t be shy.
MOTHER’S DAY: Sunday 10 May
The newly auditioned Senior Choristers will be promoted to the Choir Stalls at the 11 a.m. Service that Sunday. Senior Boys and Girls are singing.
New Senior Families: Please let me know if you are away that day due to Mother’s Day so we can plan the seating and how the morning will work.
TECH WEEKEND: Sunday 17 May
Due to Tech Weekend, the 17th is our final REQUIRED SUNDAY for ALL JUNIOR CHORISTERS – they will sit in the choir stalls and lead the music that morning.
All Senior Choristers not in the play, with their parent’s permission are invited to be Senior Mentors at that service.
It’s Recruiting Season for 2015-2016!
The annual letter and brochure have gone out to all families at GCS with children currently in second and third grade – even those who have already joined! Please spread the word – Choir is fun! We already have the first interview scheduled!
Sometimes interesting rules and policies appear during recruiting time, but the basic creed is:
Choir is open to all, it is always a good time to join and you are never too old or miss a deadline! We want everyone to join choir!

Rehearsal and Choral Evensong for Junior Choristers will take place on Tuesday 21 April.
The Rehearsal begins as always at the Music Room at 5:00 p.m.
Evensong is in the Church from 6:00 – 6:30 p.m.
Senior Choristers are always welcome to mentor at Evensong and at Junior Rehearsals with parent’s permission!

The Tour is coming together. At this point communications about the Tour will go directly to those participating to cut down on the amount of verbiage in this communication.
