Work is progressing beautifully on the new organ for Grace Church. To check out recent progress and see photographs please go to the website of Taylor and Boody Organ Builders, Staunton, VA.

This month the four sections of the main cases are being assembeled in the shop fitting their facade pipes in place. The top and bottom portions of each case are too tall when assembled to be put together in the shop so they must remain seperate until arriving at the Church.

The floor area of the choir of our church is being laid out at the shop in preparation to build the action of the organ.

Thousands of pipes have already been constructed and pre voiced including all the large bass pipes. The console shell is taking beautiful shape and while new and unique nods a respectful head at the old Skinner Console designed for Grace Church in 1928.

Welcome Home to our friend and inspiration Dr. Barry Rose. Dr. Rose will be working with the Choristers and taking choir practices between Sunday 22 January and the 29th when at 4:00 p.m. in the Church and with our Junior Choristers they together will offer the Fourth Annual Concert of Music for Treble Voices.
Compositions will include those by J.S. Bach, Copland, Dyson, Ridout and Dr. Rose himself!
This annual concert will also include the “Whiting” of Novices when our newest choristers receive their surplice and take their place among the junior chorister ranks.

This musical offering is free and open to everyone.
