Greetings and happy first day of Autumn.
We are off to a great start with one more Tuesday session of preparation before the Evensongs begin on Tuesdsay.
For our new Junior Families, the first Tuesday of October our rehearsal session will run from 5:00 – 5:45ish, followed by a short break and at 6:00 we sing a short – thirty minute Evensong in the Chantry. Families and friends are most welcome at this beautiful musical meditations. Evensong is one of the jewels of the Anglican – Episcopal tradition. Please join us as often as you can. You can come through the Honor Room from the School into the Chantry or enter from the main door just off Broadway and south of the main church.
For the short break I usually give the choristers juice and cookies or crackers. At that point in the day their energy is begining to fail. This year if possible, I’d like to put together an inventory in the music closet for this “snack.” If anyone would like to donate some “apple” juice boxes and school approved type of small snacks for use I would be very grateful. Please let me know if you can help.
