If Music be the food of Love…..Sing on!

Today we had a gentle morning and a wonderful walking tour of Salzburg, the City of Mozart, Antonio Salieri and Michael Haydn as well as a center for commerce first with the Romans and then with the Prince Arch Bishops of the “Minor” Vatican for the last fifteen hundred years!

We had an wonderful rehearsal for tomorrow’s mass in the Cathedral with Domkapellmeister János Czifra. After rehearsal many went to the Salzburg Marionette Theatre. It was established in 1913 and is one of the oldest continuing marionette theatres in the world. We saw a marvelous and fantastic offering of Mozart’s Die Zauberflote which, after our rehearsal for the Mozart “Sparrow” Mass we will sing tomorrow morning in the cathedral was very inspiring and fun.

Everyone came back to the hotel full of fresh mountain air, a lovely day of sun and walking and exploring this beautiful city and ready for a good night’s rest.
