Congratulations to the 7th and 8th grade boys soccer team, and their coaches Mr. Diveki and Kenyatta Mitchell. The boys won 5 – 1 over Fieldston to secure their undefeated season!

Have you met The Reverend Julia Offinger yet? She is the new Assistant Rector and will be in charge of Children, Youth and FamilyMinistry. She has already attended at least one of every rehearsal and officiated at Evensong on Tuesday. Say hello and welcome her. She will be working a lot with me and the choristers! Can you believe how old I am! When she was six, she was a chorister at the summer camp for choirs at Valley Forge that I was running with her choirmaster. It’s a small world. Welcome Mother Julia. Now that Halloween is over and done, this means The Christmas Pageant is right around the corner! All Choristers are very welcome to participate in this time-honored Grace Church tradition which comes around every year at 4pm on Christmas Eve. You just need to fill out a cast information sheet here and sign up for an interview slot here with me, Dr. Allen, and the pageant directors on Tuesday, November 6 from 2-6pm in the school music room. Let me know if you have any questions; my email inbox is always open.

We have an amazing group of novice choristers for the fall term but…
If anyone asks, it is never too late to join the choir and they should reach out to me at: gracechoir1894@gmail.com
For entering 4th and 5th graders it is also not too late to join as new choristers, we have had good luck at getting them up to speed quickly as your children are the best teachers. What schedule a 4th or 5th grader might follow would depend on the child and their family.
Note about third grade juniors: the third grade juniors will only attend the Tuesday rehearsal session from 5:00 – 6:30. Older juniors still also attend for boys, Thursday morning or girls, Friday morning practice.
This year we will have the second season for 2nd grade novices! Last year was a great success and these now third graders fast tracked themselves to junior level ahead of what I thought would happen. I am so proud of them.
