Beginning her studies at the age of 5, Melissa is an accomplished soloist, accompanist, and chamber musician in the Los Angeles area. Currently, she is pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, studying piano performance with Alvin Chow and organ performance with Jonathan William Moyer. Melissa was the recipient of the Music Teachers’ Association of California’s Memorial Music Scholarship, a finalist of the Dan Stover Music Competition, and a recipient of the Colburn Merit Scholarship. At Oberlin, Melissa was recently selected as a finalist in the 2021 Rudolf Serkin Piano Competition. In addition to her studies, Melissa serves as an organist at Saint Clarence Catholic Church in North Olmsted, Ohio.
