Welcome to all members and guests of the NYC Chapter of the American Guild of Organists for the morning sessions of your President’s Day Retreat on Monday 19 February 2024
The two morning sessions feature James O’Donnell, organist emeritus from Westminster Abbey and now on the faculty of Yale University and Walden Moore, organist and choir master of Trinity Church on the Green in New Haven.
Mr. O’Donnell will offer an organ recital on the Bicentennial Organ built by Taylor and Boody Organbuilders of Staunton, Virginia in 2013. The program features music by composers from the UK.
Mr. Moore will speak about his forty year tenure as the principal musician of Trinity Church on the Green, his amazing adventures, the change of culture and community and how that influences his work and ministry in that place over these past forty years. Mr. Moore will retire this June.
